The Rose of England Lodge No. 6493 is an established Masonic Lodge based in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We are a committed group, ranging between the ages 25-80+, with the noble aim of fostering fellowship, raising money for numerous charities, offering avenues for the personal development of our members within the structure of Freemasonry, and hosting social events throughout the year.
We are the only Lodge that holds our meetings on a Saturday at the St Leonards on Sea Masonic Hall, proving most convenient for our members by allowing no interference with any weekday commitments. Alongside this we also meet every Friday to socialise and attend Lodge of instruction to rehearse for upcoming Masonic Meetings. We take pride in being a vibrant hub for social interaction through a multitude of events designed to unite our members and their families and friends.
The Rose of England Lodge consistently strives to make a meaningful impact by raising funds for charities consisting of, but not limited to: The Children with Cancer fund, Warming Up The Homeless, Chestnut Tree House, Dementia UK, Hastings Food Bank, RNLI, St Michael's Hospice and The Samaritans.
Our consecration ceremony took place on July 12th, 1947, witnessed by 152 Brethren, including esteemed founders, Lodge members and visitors. This historic event solidified the Lodge's commitment to upholding the values of Courage, Love and Truth, embodied by our Rose symbol.
Fuelling our Lodge's success and legacy is a committed team of officers and a good contingent of young, enthusiastic members ensuring a promising trajectory towards our Centenary in 2047.
The Rose of England Lodge extends a warm welcome to new members. Membership is open to all men over the age of 18 from all backgrounds.
